Only $40,000 to go!

Thank you to the many local donors who have matched the Russell Farm and Forest Foundation's $50,000 challenge grant. The Wilkins Family Forest campaign has raised $150,000 of the $190,000 campaign goal. AND the Wilkins family has extended the deadline to the end of November.

Please help close the gap to protect over 500 acres of land in Mont Vernon and Amherst! Public access for passive recreation will be assured on these working forestlands, many of which are adjacent to a number of different neighborhoods and other conservation lands.

The Cabinet newspaper shared our good news in an Aug. 29 article.

Challenge Grant

The Wilkins family is donating 90 percent of the price of conservation easements on its well-managed timberlands. We must raise $190,000 to cover the remaining 10 percent and the transaction and stewardship costs involved.

The Russell Farm and Forest Conservation Foundation has provided a challenge grant to get us started. The foundation will match, dollar for dollar, donations up to $50,000.   Click here to help with a tax-deductible donation!
